A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WITH
THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood is eligible to receive Federal
and /or State funding for certain transportation planning related plans, through the
California Department of Transportation, and
WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation offers an
Environmental Justice Grant, which promotes community involvement in planning to
improve mobility, access, and safety while promoting economic opportunity, equity,
environmental protection, and affordable housing for low- income, minority and Native
American communities, and
WHEREAS, the Environmental Justice Grant has a grant cap amount of
$250,000 and requires a local match of 10% minimum of the grant amount requested,
but which also allows staff time from the grantee to be considered cash match, and
WHEREAS, a Fund Transfer Agreement is needed to be executed with the
California Department of Transportation before such funds can be claimed through the
Transportation Planning Grants Programs, and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood wishes to delegate authorization to execute
these agreements and any amendments thereto
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS-
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the City
Manager of the City of Lynwood to execute all Fund Transfer Agreements and any
amendments thereto with the California Department of Transportation
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20 day of March, 2012.
