WAIVING ALL FEES ASSOCIATED WITH A RESIDENTIAL OWNER-
OCCUPIED DWELLING ON 1 -4 UNITS FOR ALARM SYSTEMS
WHEREAS, Mayor Daniel J. Reiman and the Council of the Borough of Carteret are
cognizant and supportive of the will and desire of said property owners to undertake
measures to ensure for their safety; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor has proposed and the Council is in agreement to waive the
municipal fees for construction permits issued to install alarm systems for all owner -
occupied residences consisting of up to four units; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret that all municipal construction permit fees for alarm systems be and are
hereby waived for any such construction permit applications received by the Borough of
Carteret Building Department on or after January 1, 2013; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Chief
Financial Officer, Construction Official and Code Enforcement Officer and New Jersey
Division of Codes and Standards.
