Nominations were closed by the chair: It was moved by Commissioner Dr. Jackson, seconded by Commissioner Pacheco and carried to appoint Commissioner Mazziotti as Secretary by acclamation. It was moved by Commissioner Mazziotti, seconded by Commissioner Culp and carried, to nominate Commissioner McCown as Treasurer. Nominations were closed by the chair. It was moved by Commissioner Mazziotti, seconded by Commissioner Culp and carried to appoint Commissioner McCown as Treasurer by acclamation. It was moved by Commissioner Dr. Jackson, seconded by Commissioner Mazziotti to nominate Commissioner Culp as Ways and Means Chairman. Nominations were closed by the chair. It was moved by Commissioner Dr. Jackson, seconded by Commissioner Mazziotti, to appoint Commissioner Culp as Ways and Means Chairman by acclamation. Chairman Culp stated the commission would continue to engage Lynwood women to become "Friends of the Commission ". It was moved by Commissioner Dr. Jackson, seconded by Commissioner Pacheco and carried, to appoint Ann Fields, Chairman; and Elizabeth Dixon, Vice - Chairman of the Advisory /Friends of the Commission. Chairman Culp asked Commissioner Mazziotti to write a letter to Councilwoman Wells inviting her to be the Installing Officer for the newly appointed Lynwood Women's Commissioners. Special Guest Speaker Eloise Evans, Supervisor Homeless Program, Martin Luther King Hospital, spoke in regards to the homeless and programs that are available to help. By General Consent, the regular scheduled meeting of August 14, 1991, would be held August 21, 1991. There was no further business and the meeting was adjourned at 6:50p.m.
