A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A 90 -DAY CONTRACT EXTENSION
FOR THE TROLLEY BUS SERVICES CONTRACT WITH MV TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood and MV Transportation entered into a
transportation services agreement dated March 06, 2007, which set forth the terms and
conditions for the operation of the Lynwood Fixed Route Trolley Bus System and the
Blue Line Shuttle Bus, and
WHEREAS, said contract is set to expire on March 31, 2012, and
WHEREAS, MV Transportation recently submitted a proposal requesting a 5-
year contract extension, and
WHEREAS, staff will need to review and analyze the proposal; and
WHEREAS, the contractor is ready and willing to continue providing the trolley
service until June 30, 2012 with no increase in rates.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves a 90 -day extension for the Trolley
Bus Services Contract with MV Transportation
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the contract amendment on
a form to be approved by the City Attorney
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20 day of March, 2012.
