Minutes of the Regular Meeting
October 25, 2007
CALL TO ORDER
Commissioner Beimer called the meeting to order at 6:04 p.m.
INVOCATION
Commissioner Garcia delivered the invocation.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Chairman Beimer led the Commissioners in the pledge of allegiance.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF POSTING
Staff acknowledged the posting of the Traffic and Parking Commission on October 23,
2007
ROLL CALL
Commissioner Beimer, Commissioner White, Commissioner Garcia and Commissioner
Calderon were present at the meeting. Josef Kekula and Emmanuel Ngwu were also
present at the meeting.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER
Vice Chairman White made a motion to accept the minutes as written. Commissioner
Garcia seconded the motion. A vote was taken and all voted in favor to approve the
minutes.
PUBLIC ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
No public oral communications
SCHEDULED MATTERS
ITEM #7 HANDICAP PARKING REQUEST 4330 CORTLAND STREET
Commissioner Garcia informed the Commissioners that she is going along with staff
recommendation to deny the request for handicap parking space.

Vice Chairman White support staff recommendation to deny the handicap request.
Chairman Beimer also supported staffs recommendation to deny the request for
handicap parking.
REVIEW OF UPCOMING ITEMS
None
INFORMATIONAL ITEMS
Staff informed that Lynwood Meadows would be ready for bid in November 7, if
everything goes well, the Construction Project might be ready to start January 2008.
COMMISSIONER ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Commissioner Garcia pointed out that when she went to Plaza Mexico to witness "Expo
Mexico" event held couple of weeks ago, the street closure inconvenienced some of our
residents and other business owners.
Commissioner Calderon expressed concern about trash and other nuisance on Long
Beach at Transit Center.
ADJOURNMENT
Vice Chairman White moved the motion to adjourn. Commissioner Garcia seconded the
motion and motion adjourned at 7 p.m. The Commissioners agreed that first Thursday
of December will be the next Traffic and Parking meeting for the months of November
and December
