MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING
I. ROLL CALL
President Hassett called the Regular Meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Members Present: Jed Cyr,Nonette Hanko, Cecily Harris, Curt Riffle, Pete Siemens, and
Larry Hassett

Members Absent: None
Staff Present: General Manager Steve Abbors, General Counsel Sue Schectman, and
District Clerk Michelle Radcliffe.

A. Agenda Item 1 —Board Discussion Regarding Interview Questions and Process
President Hassett x 1 i e p a ned the interview process and stated that a list of questions was
compiled based on feedback provided from the Boar
p p d. He expressed concern about
having
some candidates hear the interview questions before other candidates and
recommended that three Board members leave the meeting to discuss the questions and
return with a list of questions that have been prioritized. Directors Hanko, Harris and
Riffle volunteered to prioritize the questions.
Motion: Upon motion b Director Hanko seconded b Director Siemens and

unanimously passed,the Board approved President Hassett's recommendation. (Vote: 5-
0-0; Absent: Hassett)

The Board recessed at 6:15 p.m. and reconvened at 6:45 p.m. with Directors Cyr, Hanko,
Hassett, Harris, Siemens,and Riffle present. President Hassett briefly provided an overview
of the interview procedures.
B. Agenda Item 2—Interview of Applicants for the Office of Director Ward 2
(R-10-143)
The Board of Directors interviewed six applicants in the first round of interviews. At
the start of the second round of interviews, applicant Frances Mann-Craik announced
that she is withdrawing her application for fiirther consideration and thanked the Board
and other applicants for their work. The second round of interviews ensued.
After the interview session was concluded, the Board of Directors voted to have three
applicants return for the final interviews. The following applicants were invited to the
final interview on November 29, 2010:
• Breene Kerr(received five votes)
• Yoriko Kishimoto (received six votes)
• Cynthia"Ciddy"Wordell (received five votes)
Brief discussion was held on the interview procedures for the November 29, 2010
Special Board meeting. No further action was taken by the Board.
III. ADJOURNMENT
President Hassett adjourned the Special Meeting of the Board of Directors of the
Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District at 9:18 p.m.
