SPECIAL MEETING
I. ROLL CALL
President Hassett called the Regular Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Members Present: Jed Cyr, Nonette Hanko, Cecily Harris, Curt Riffle, Pete Siemens, and
Larry Hassett
Members Absent: None
Staff Present: General Manager Steve Abbors, Interim Assistant General Counsel
James Atencio, and District Clerk Michelle Radcliffe.
11. BOARD BUSINESS
A. Agenda Item 1 —Final Interview of Applicants for the Office of Ward 2 Director;
Consideration of Appointment of Ward 2 Director and Adoption of Resolution of
Appointment(R-10-150)
The Board conducted interviews of Breene Kerr, Yoriko Kishimoto, and Cynthia
Wordell. After three rounds of interviews and final statements of the applicants, the
Board voted and appointed Yoriko Kishimoto as Director of Ward 2. (Vote: 4-1-1;
Noes: Harris; Abstain: Hanko)
Motion: Upon motion by Director Cyr, seconded by Director Siemens, and
unanimously passed, the Board adopted a resolution appointing Yoriko Kishimoto to the
seat of Director of District Ward 2 for an unexpired term ending January 2, 2011. (Vote:
6-0-0)

B. Agenda Item 2—Administration of Oath of Office and Certification of Appointment
for Newly Appointed Ward 2 Director
District Clerk Michelle Radcliffe certified the appointment of Yoriko Kishimoto as
Director of Ward 2 and administered the Oath of Office.
III. ADJOURNMENT
President Hassett adjourned the Special Meeting of the Board of Directors of the
Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District at 9:15 p.m.
