- OF LYNWOOD,CONGRA.TUL "ATING JUDGE RALPH'C. DILLS.'
ON HIS THIRTY YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF OUTSTANDING• ,
CONTRIBUTIONS TO'THE PEOPLE OF'CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS;_in.1933 Ralph C Dills began 'service -'to the,. ,
" public of California as'a'teacher in secondary school district _
consisting.of Paramount,,.Compton, Enterprise and.Lynwood,`and.con-
tinued such" service until 1942;, and
• as a teacher,, Ralph C. Dills. nominated '
and-elected State Assemblyman. in 1938, and re-elected ,In 194o 1942,
1944 ',1946. and 1848;• and.',
,WHEREAS.' the 'leadership qualities i•oP Raiph"d. Dills'were
demonstrated by his.being, appointed Chairman of a major Regular and '
Interim,Committee in each of his six terms as Assemblyman' and he was
further recognized'.by ,being. "elected ".for four years a Chairmari;lof the
Los Angeles'County Delegation of'33 legislators at and
WHEREAS';:•after,suce'essfully authoring measures , es.tablish - r
ing Long`Beach,State College and in behalf 'of public education, the
dairy industry; labor', 'small 'bdsiness* veterans., minirity` groups,
the aged and homeowners' Ralph-C. Dills- resigned as'Assemblymari" and w
in 1949 became`a -Judge of the:South Los,Angeles•Justice`Court and
was elected - in -- .1940 as the incumbent; and.

WHEREAS, ,Judge Dills,was elected a of the Municipal
Court in 1952 and•re, elected in 1958; and •,

Ralph,'C,.:Dills wiil'be honored. by a• testimonial dinner= for 'his"
.dedicated public''service as a teacher, legislator and;, jurist;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED- that :the' members' of the
City Counci'1 of the City: of Lynwood do hereby congratulate.Judge
Ralph C.'.Dills ori•this'thirty year anniversary of outstanding
contributions to` people of California: and wish him•continued
success in his duties as,a. public servant.
