A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD COMMENDING THE
LYNWOOD JAYCEES FOR OUTSTANDING
SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY.
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Jaycees did on the weekend of
June 10,- -paint the Lynwood Recreation Building, and -
WHEREAS, this project contributed to the City beautification
program and resulted in significant economic savings to the City, and
WHEREAS, the Jaycees participating in this project included,
President Wes Varvi, Vice President Bill McDowell, Jim Morton,
Bill Hardy, Dave Ott, Manny Zuniga, Mickey Davidson, Brian Cooley,
flank Lafuente, and Sal Sferrazza, and
WHEREAS, the Jaycees in the past have provided playground
equipment, flag poles, playground lighting systems, recreation depart-
ment marquees, public address systems for the park, handball courts
-and baseball field improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD THAT the Council extend to the Lynwood
Jaycees on behalf of the citizens of Lynwood their appreciation for out-
standing performance as a community service group and their many fine
contributions to the City of Lynwood.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 20th day of
June, 1972.
