STORM SEVER IMPROVEMENT TAX DISTRICT
The Medina City Council will be holding on a public hear.
ing on December 19, at 7:30 p.m. (or as soon as possible'
thereafter) to consider adopting an ordinance establishing
a storm sewer improvement tax district. This hearing will
be held at Medina City Hall during the Regular City
Council Meeting.The purpose of this tax district would be
to finance the construction of a storm water improvement
within the Wild Meadows "Elwell" sub -division in the
event that the proposed storm water treatment system
does not sufficiently control storm water run-off. This spe-
cial taxing district onlyincludes the area in the proposed
Wild Meadows "Elwell" sub -division and will ,not
involve taxes on property in other areas of the City. -

ORDINANCE # 324 ESTABLISHING A STORM
SEWER IMPROVEMENT TAX DISTRICT
The City Council of the City of Medina has adopted
Ordinance No. 324. The ordinance establishes a storm
sewer improvement tax district within the Wild Meadows
(formally Elwell) development. The district would allow
the city to construct storm sewer improvements within the
area if necessary in the future. Improvements within the
development would be paid in whole or in part through
a special ad ,yalorem.tax on the .real estate within tha,
development?Titaiax•would not be imposed on proper-
ties elsewhere in the city which are not within the Wild
Meadows development.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Medina on
December 19, 2000.

ORDINANCE NO. 324
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A STORM
SEWER IMPROVEMENT TAX DISTRICT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MEDINA, MINNESOTA ORDAINS AS
FOLLOWS:
Section I. Background: Findings.
1.01. The City is authorized by Minnesota Statutes, Section /1M14.16 — 444.21 (the "Act") to
establish a storm sewer improvement tax district (the "District') to acquire, construct, reconstruct,
extend, maintain and otherwise improve storm sewer systems and related facilities within the
District in accordance with the Act, and to finance such activities by ad valorem taxes levied on
property within the District.
1.02. It is found and determined that it is in the best financial interests of Medina and its
storm water management program that the District be established. The District shall be comprised
of the land within Medina legally described on Exhibit A attached hereto.
Section II. Establishment: Authorizations.
2.01. The Wild Meadows Storm Sewer Improvement Tax District is established. The city
shall have all powers and authority conferred by the Act in the operation of the District.
2.02. The boundaries of the District are as described on Exhibit A attached hereto.
2.03. The Administrator -Clerk -Treasurer is authorized and directed to file a certified copy
of the ordinance with the Auditor and Recorder of Hennepin County.
Section III. This ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption and publication.
