Home My Public Portal About2017-49 Selecting Cintel to Install the License Reader on the Mashta BridgeRESOLUTION NO. 2OI7-49 A CAPITAL PROJECT AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDAO SELECTING CINTEL, LLC FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A LICENSE PLATE READER SYSTEM ON THE MASHTA BRIDGE; PROVIDING FOR AUTHORIZATION; PROVIDING FOR IMPLEMENTATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3.07(b) of the Village of Key Biscayne ("Village") Charter, the Village Council desires to authorize the expenditure of Village funds for a capital project consisting of a hardware and software system known as License Plate Reader System to be installed on the Mashta Bridge (the "LPR System"); and \ryHEREAS, the Village Council desires to authorize the expenditure of Village funds, for the procurement and installation of the LPR System; and WHEREAS, after review and evaluation of the bids submitted, the Village Manager recommends that Cintel, LLC ("Cintel") be selected to install the LPR System as the most responsive and responsible bidder; and \ryHEREAS, the Village Council desires to select Cintel to install the LPR System in the amount not to exceed $38,325.08, and authorizes the Village Manager to execute an agreement consistent with the proposal attached hereto as Exhibit "A;" and \ryHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and welfare of the residents of the Village. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNEO FLORIDA, AS FOLLO\WS: Section 1. and confirmed. Section 2. Recitals Adopted. That each of the recitals stated above is hereby adopted Selection of Cintel.That the Village Council hereby selects Cintel for the installation of the LPR System. Section 3. Authorization. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute an agreement in an amount not to exceed $38,325.08 with Cintel for the LPR System, consistent with the proposal attached hereto as Exhibit "A," and subject to approval as to form, content, and legal sufficiency by the Village Attorney. Section 4. Implementation. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to take any and all action necessary to implement the intent and purpose of this Resolution. Section 5. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption hereof. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of November, 2017.
