AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT
WITH CME ASSOCIATES, FOR WATERFRONT MARINA WATER
AND SEWER EXTENSION - BLOCK 201, LOTS 3.02 & 4
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering services in
connection with the Waterfront Marina Water and Sewer Extension — Block 201, Lots
3.02 & 4; and
WHEREAS, CME Associates, 1460 Route 9 South, Howell, New Jersey 07731,
possesses the requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, CME Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said services at a total
cost not to exceed $85,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from CME Associates for engineering services related to the
Waterfront Marina Water and Sewer Extension — Block 201, Lots 3.02 &
4 at a total cost not to exceed $85,000.00 is hereby approved.
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract
pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's Fair
and Open Process as authorized by law.
A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and CME Associates.
Adopted this 5' day of September, 2013
and certified as a true copy of the
original on September 6, 2013.
