A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COT]NCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDAO ACCEPTING
FUNDS FROM THE MASHTA ISLAND HOMEO\üNEROS
ASSOCIATION FOR A LICENSE PLATE READER
SYSTEM TO BE INSTALLED ON THE MASHTA BRIDGE;
PROVIDING FOR AUTHORIZATION; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS' the Mashta Island Homeowner's Association ("HOA") desires to assist the
Village of Key Biscayne ("Village") in funding a License Plate Reader System to be installed on
Mashta Bridge ("LPR System"); and
\üHEREAS, the HOA is willing to fund the costs for the procurement and installation of
the LPR System as provided in the letter, dated October 24, 2017, from Meggie de Corral,
President of the HOA , which is attached hereto as Exhibit "4" ("HOA Letter"); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to utilize the funds provided for in the HOA
Letter for the LPR System; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and
welfare of the residents of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE,SOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals Adopted. That the above stated recitals ate adopted and
confirmed.
Section 2. Acceptance of Funds. That the V illage Council hereby accepts the funds
provided in the HOA Letter, attached hereto as Exhibit "A," for the LPR System.
Section 3. Authorization. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to earmark
the funds provided in the HOA Letter, attached hereto as Exhibit "A," for the LPR System.
Section 4.
