A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL ACTION PLAN FOR FISCAL YEAR 2012 -13 AND
FUNDING ALLOCATIONS FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
(CDBG) AND HOME PROGRAMS
WHEREAS, in order to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
and HOME Program funds, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
requires cities to submit a Consolidated Plan which serves as a planning document, an
application for federal funds, a strategy to be followed in carrying out CDBG and
HOME funded activities and a basis for assessing performance; and
WHEREAS, the City expects to have $1,204,042 in CDBG funds and $408,551
in HOME funds available for fiscal Year 2012 -13, to carry out goals set in the City's
5 -year Consolidated Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood's Community Development Block Grant
Advisory Commission has conducted the required Public Hearings to obtain citizen input
on the draft Consolidated Plan (FY 2012 -13); and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council has reviewed the draft Consolidated
Annual Action Plan and taken into consideration public comments /input relating to
Lynwood's community development and housing needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . The Lynwood City Council approves the Consolidated Annual Action
Plan for FY 2012 -13, and any amendments made at the April 17, 2012 City Council
meeting.
Section 2. The Lynwood City Council approves the following allocations and
activities for fiscal year 2012 -13, with the use of CDBG and HOME program funds as
listed below:

Section 3. This Resolution authorizes the required submittal of the
Consolidated Annual Action Plan for FY 2012 -13 and CDBG and HOME funding
applications and certifications to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD).
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
