A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONTRACT TO DASH CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. AS THE SOLE
RESPONSIBLE BIDDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $29,400.00 FOR THE INSTALLATION
OF SYNTHETIC IVY ON IMPERIAL HIGHWAY FENCE; PROJECT NUMBER
4011.67.916 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Installation of Synthetic Ivy on Imperial Highway Fence, Project
No. 4011.67.916, is scheduled for completion during Fiscal Year 2011 -2012; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff advertised the project on March 9, 2012; and
WHEREAS, five (5) contractors received project plans and contract documents;
and
WHEREAS, the bid opening took place in the office of the City Clerk on March
22, 2012, and the Director of Public Works / City Engineer has ascertained that Dash
Construction Company, Inc. was the sole lowest responsible bidder for its base bid of
$29,400.00; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the
necessary experience for this type of project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the contract for the Installation of Synthetic Ivy on Imperial
Highway Fence, Project No. 4011.67.916 be awarded to Dash Construction Company,
Inc. for its total base bid of $29,400.00.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement
between the City of Lynwood and Dash Construction Company, Inc.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 17 day of April, 2012.
