Mayor Buelterman called the public hearing to order at 6:00PM on June 30, 2014. Those
present were Paul Wolff, Monty Parks, Wanda Doyle and Bill Garbett. Also attending were
Diane Schleicher, City Manager; Angela Hudson, Finance Director; and Janet LeViner, Clerk of
Council. Councilman Brown was excused.
Public Hearings
First Reading of the 2014 Millage. Mayor Buelterman stated the purpose of this meeting is
to take input from the public regarding the advertised proposed millage rate. He stated that
the digest went down slightly and the overall value of Tybee taxable property decreased from
$544M to $540,779,984. Mayor Buelterman explained that in order to keep the tax income the
same, the millage rate would be 4.185 which would be an increase from 4.158 (2013). The
FY2015 budget was approved in such a way as to ensure the millage was not raised. Being
there were no questions or comments from the public or staff, Mayor Buelterman closed the
public hearing. No action taken
Paul Wolff made a motion to adjourn. Monty Parks seconded. Vote was unanimous, 4-0.
