RESOLUTION NO. 2012.069
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 2011.066 ESTABLISHING A HOUSING AUTHORITY IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE CALIFORNIA HOUSING AUTHORITY'S LAW
WHEREAS, on March 15, 2011, the City Council of the City of Lynwood adopted
Resolution No. 2011.066 pursuant to the California Housing Authorities Law, codified as
Health and Safety Code Section 34200, et seq., which authorizes the establishment of a
housing authority in every city and now wishes to amend such Resolution No. 2011.066
with this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on April 3, 2012, after discussion, the Council adopted the payment
of a stipend to all Housing Authority Commissioners of $50 per meeting, not to exceed 4
meetings per month in accordance with Health & Safety Code Section 34274.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. All of the above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated
herein by reference.
Section 2. Resolution No. 2011.066 is amended to include the following:
Pursuant to Health & Safety Code Section 34274, each Commissioner shall be entitled
to a per diem payment for attendance at not more than four (4) Lynwood Housing
Authority meetings per month at a rate of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per meeting.
Additionally, Commissioners shall receive necessary traveling and subsistence
expenses which may be incurred in the discharge of the duties of a Housing Authority
Commissioner.
Section 3. Except as amended by this Resolution, Resolution No. 2011.066
shall remain unmodified and in full force and effect.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
