RESOLUTION NO. 2022-06-02
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO APPROPRIATE FUNDING FOR
A FLEET PURCHASE
WHEREAS, the 2021 budget appropriated funds to purchase a water wastewater truck
with a manual extension, rotation boom, and plow as a Capitol Equipment Replacement. The
town was not able to secure the purchase in 2021.
WHEREAS, the town is able to secure a vehicle to purchase in 2022; however, the full
allocation was not re -budgeted in 2022 for the vehicle purchase including the outfitting.
WHEREAS, it has been determined that a hydraulic extension and powered rotation
boom would be better suited for the staff and town rather than a manual boom.
WHEREAS; The 2022 Ram Pickup 3500 has increased in cost by $10,000 and the
request to purchase a ET8KX hydraulic crane rather than a manual crane is an additional
$14,000. The truck and outfitting are a total cost of $125,000.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF
FRASER, COLORADO THAT:
1. The Town Manager is authorized to expend up to $130,000 for the purchase of a 2022
Ram Pickup 3500, ET8KX hydraulic extension, powered rotation boom, and plow, to
include the materials and labor for the outfitting.
2. The purchase must be made by December 31, 2022 or this resolution is null and void.
