A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COT]NCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, REVISING
SERVICE FEES FOR THE COLLECTION OF SOLID
WASTE AND RECYCLING SERVICES; AMENDING FEES
AS PROVIDED BY RESOLUTION NO. 2OI5-37;
REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2015-37; PROVIDING
FOR IMPLEMENTATION; AND PROVIDING FOR
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village of Key Biscayne (the "Village") provides for solid waste
collection and recycling services to be provided to residential customers within the Village; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-61 of the Village Code of Ordinances (the "Code"),
the Village Council is authorized to impose fees for the collection of solid waste and recycling
services (the "Fees"); and
WHEREAS' in 2015 the Village Council adopted Resolution No. 2015-37 establishing
the applicable annual Fee; and
\ilHEREAS, the Village Council desires to revise the Fees as provided herein; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held prior to the setting of the revised Fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDAO AS FOLLOIJVS:
Section 1.Recitals Adopted. That each of the above stated recitals are here by
adopted and confirmed.
Section 2.Revised Service Fee. That an annual Fee in the amount of $645.00 per
household is hereby set as the regular service charge for the collection of solid waste and for
recycling services to residential customers within the Village for the time period beginning
January I,2018.
Section 3. Repeal. That Resolution 2015-37, which established the prior Fee
schedule, is hereby repealed, except that the Fees provided by Resolution 2015-37 shall continue
to apply to all unpaid Fees for services, which were provided pursuant to Resolution 2015-37.
Section 4. Implementation. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to take
any action, which is necessary to implement and enforce this Resolution.
Section 5.Effective Date. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption.
