1, 1977,
with Mayor Blythe presiding and Councilmen Huisman, Cordes, Van
Deest,
and Terfehn present.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved on a
motion by
Van Deest, 2nd by Cordes. Carried.
Huisman moved, Cordes 2nd allowance of the following bills
for payment:

The treasurer's report was accepted as read on a motion by
Van Deest,
2nd by Cordes. Carried.
Following discussion, Terfehn moved, Cordes 2nd that permission
be
given to Roger Hippen to connect with city water main all at his
own ex-
pense. Carried.
Moved by Cordes, 2nd by Huisman to issue a building permit
to 6ellsburg
Elevator Co. to construct a 40'X150' warehouse. Carried.
Moved by Van Deest, 2nd by Huisman to issue a building permit
for an
addition to house to Roy Luiken. Carried.
Moved by Huisman, 2nd by Cordes to issue a building permit
to B.E.
Walters to enlarge garage. Carried.
The request for a building permit by Lonnie Phillips was tabled.
Moved by Cordes, 2nd by Van Deest adopting a resolution for
a special
election requesting a change of council member's terms from two year to
four year staggered terms. Roll call of votes--
Ayes-Huisman, Cordes, Van Deest, Terfehn.. Nays-IvTone. Absent-Bausman.
