HomeMy Public PortalAboutM 1987-05-05 - LRA434 REGULAR MEETING MAY 5, 1987 The Lynwood Redevelopment Agency met in a regular session in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road on the above date at 7:35 p.m. Chairman Richards in the chair. Members Byork, Henning, Morris, Wells, and Richards answered the roll call. Also present were Executive Director Gomez, General Counsel Yeager, Secretary Hooper and Treasurer Wright. Secretary Hooper stated the Agenda had been posted as prescribed by The Brown Act. LRA Res No. RESOLUTION NO. 87 -13 entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE LYNWOOD 87 -13 REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ALLOWING DEMANDS AND ORDERING WARRANTS THEREFOR." was presented. It was moved by Mr. Morris, seconded by Mrs. Wells to adopt the resolution. ROLL CALL AYES: MEMBER BYORK, HENNING, MORRIS, WELLS, RICHARDS NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE Executive Director Gomez stated the Agency had not formalized the Redevelopment Project Review Committee although it has been meeting since July, 1986. Community Development Director Mas stated the two current members are Mr. Morris and Mr. Henning. Executive Director Gomez stated Mr. Morris currently serving on Review Committee for the city along with Mrs. Wells. Henning, It was moved by Mr. Morris, seconded by Mr. Byork that Mr. Henning Richards and Mr. Richards serve as Redevelopment Project Review Committee. Redev Proj Rev Comm ROLL CALL: AYES. MEMBER BYORK, HENNING, MORRIS, WELLS, RICHARDS NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE Chairman Richards stated he would like to have staff look into the Architect development of an Architectural Review Board to review the design review Bd qualities and standards of various projects before they come to the Project Review Committee. Community Development Director Mas stated staff had suggested that' at the time the Community Design Element was implemented, the Council could establish an Architectural Design Review Board. The Lynwood Redevelopment Agency Project Review Committee also might become the Architectural Design Review Board for Redevelopment projects. Chairman Richards questione when a project is going to be built or structures modified relative to redevelopment area, would they come before the project review board. Community Development Director Mas stated if Council approved staff recommendations, the committee would act in a two fold func- tion to review and determine if project has the merits to be sub- mitted to agency for further consideration and secondly, to review the architectural design process. It was unanimously agreed that the Review Committee would also assume responsibility of architectural design review. 0 There was no further business and it was moved by Mrs. Wells, second- ed by rris to adjourn to regular meeting of May 19, 1987.
