RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL OPEN SPACE DISTRICT
APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS
UNDER THE SANTA CLARA COUNTY HISTORICAL
PROJECT FUNDING PROGRAM FOR THE FOLLOWING
PROJECT: HOMESTEAD HOUSE HISTORIC RESTORATION
WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clam provides grant funds for projects that
promote and encourage the appreciation, recognition, and preservation of cultural, historical,
archaeological, and natural resources in Santa Clara County; and
WHEREAS, Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District assures that the proposed
historic preservation project is located within the county, is open to all county residents on an
equal basis, and that the property is dedicated as public open space in perpetuity; and
WHEREAS, if the grant is awarded, Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District
will enter into an agreement with the County of Santa Clara for implementation of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors hereby:
1. Approves the filing of an application under the Historical Project Funding program
for the Homestead House Historic Restoration project; and
2. Certifies that the District is able to comply with the provisions of the Historical
Project Agreement; and
3. Certifies that the District will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the
project; and
4. Appoints the general manager as agent of the District to conduct all negotiations, and
execute and submit all documents which may be necessary for the application and,
if approved, completion of the aforementioned project.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula Regional Open
Space District on October 26 19 94 at a regular meeting thereof, by
the following vote:
AYES: Peter Siemens, Robert McKibbin, Ernestine Henshaw, Virginia Babbitt,
Nonette Hanko, and Wim de Wit
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Elizabeth Crowder

I, the District Clerk of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District, hereby certify
that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution duly adopted by the Board
