A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DECLARING ITS
INTENT TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING TO -
DETERMINE THE EXISTENCE OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF 111E CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE:
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Temple City finds
that certain premises within the City may be maintained contrary to the
provisions ofthe.Municipal Code of the City; and
WHEREAS, the 'City Manager has recommended that a public hearing be
held to ascertain whether or not a public nuisance exists,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning Commission hereby declares its intent
to hold a public hearing on J my 12, 1983, to ascertain whether certain
premises situated in the City of Temple City, State of California, known
and designated as 5111 Halifax Road in said City, and more
particularly described as Lot 1, Tract 37579 of Maps in the Office of the County
Recorder, County of Los Angeles, State of California
constitute a public nuisance subject to abatement by the City:
That thevfollowing conditions maintained on said property may exist
contrary to the provisions of Section 4240 of the Municipal Code of the
.City :
Section 4230(r). Maintenance . of premises in such condition as to be
detrimental to the public health, safety or general welfare or in such
manner as to constitute a public nuisance as defined by Civil Code 3480.
That abatement by the following method(s) has been suggested:
Installation of lawns and landscaping in the currently bare dirt areas
which constitute front, side and rear yards within 30 days.
That theCity Clerk shall cause the owner of said premises to be
served with appropriate notice in the manner prescribed by the Municipal
Code:
That the Secretary of the Planning Commission shall cause said
premises to be posted in the manner prescribed by the Municipal Code;
The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 28thday of June 19 83.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by
the Planning Commission of the City of Temple City at a regular meeting
held on the 28th day of June , 1983 , by the following vote of
