HomeMy Public PortalAboutM 1996-02-06 - LRAFj LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT ..'FEBRUARY 6, 1996 The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Lynwood met in a Regular Session in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road on the above date at 8:25 p.m. Chairman Richards presiding. Members Byrd, Heine, Henning, Rea and Richards answered the roll call. Also present were Executive Director Gonzales, City Council Attorney Rudell, Agency Treasurer Pygatt and Agency Secretary Hooper. Agency Counsel Jones was absent. Secretary Hooper announced the Agenda had been duly posted in accordance with The Brown Act. PUBLIC ORAL COMMUNICATIONS - AGENDA ITEMS ONLY Jim Greene stated concerns with the proposal for construction of homes, would like to see Union Labor and the employment of Lynwood residents. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION It was moved by Member Henning, seconded by Member Byrd and carried to approve the following minutes: a) Regular Meeting, January 16, 1996 It was moved by Member Heine, seconded by Member Rea to adopt: LRA RESOLUTION NO. 96 -4 ENTITLED: "A RESOLUTION OF THE M- I REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, ALLOWINGLmUDS I�DI AND APPROVING THE DEMANDS AND WARRANTS THEREFORE ". REGULAR ITEMS Chairman Richards introduced the first item, Proposal by the Rose RIQ�- Street Co. to Enter Into An Exclusive Negotiation Agreement - ("ENA") to Develop Single - Family Homes on Agency -Owned Property. Fn= H34E5 Executive Director Gonzales requested the Agency view a short presentation. Mike Wagner of Wagner & Associates gave a slide presentation of W)GIEt. the interior /exterior of the proposed development. FRESHgT , David Rose, Founder of the Rose Street Company, Carol G. Helou,�- Broker /Marketer, and John Abell, Civil Engineer were introduced CVIL to the Agency. RIUMM After discussion between the Agency and the Developer with regard to slab foundations, employment of local residents and energy :1 efficient elements, it was moved by Member Heine, seconded by Member Byrd to: AUTHORIZE STAFF TO WORK WITH THE ROSE STREET COMPANY ON THE SELECTION OF A SITE AND BRING THE MATTER BACK WITH AN EXCLUSIVE NEGOTIATION AGREEMENT FOR AGENCY CONSIDERATION ".
