HomeMy Public PortalAboutM 1984-09-25 - LIDAP .01 9 ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 25, 1984 D The adjourned regular meeting of the Lynwood Information, Inc was held in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, on the above date at 5:00 p.m. Chairman Morris in the chair. Directors Byork, Henning, Rowe, Thompson and Morris answered the roll call. Also present were City Manager Gomez and City Attorney Yeager. Attorney Michael Friedman, Cable Consultant, and Bob Kress, Consortium Attorney, were also present. The City Manager stated the purpose of the meeting was to Cable TV update Council on the cable television status. Stated Council status had been sent a letter from staff they had received from Rogers Cablesystems wherein they were reauesting a meeting regarding changes in the original Franchise Agreement. Staff has met with other member consortium cities. The meeting was then turned over to the Assistant to the City Manager Fraser. Mr. Fraser stated that Lynwood is a part of the consortium Report by composed of the Cities of Downey, Santa Fe Springs, Bell Mr. Fraser Gardens and Paramount. The best way for the City to deal with the requested franchise changes is by working within the con- sortium. Mr. Fraser will continue to work within the aroup to achieve the City's objectives. The Board also agreed to defer the startup of Access Program- Defer ming and to cancel future Cable Advisory Board Meetings until Access the requested franchise changes are resolved.
