The Hillsborough Town Board held a Budget Session on May ]8,1998 at 7:00 PM in the
Police Department Training Room. Present for the Board Meeting were Mayor Horace H.
Johnson, Sr., Commissioners Richard Simpson, Catherine Martin, Frances Dancy, and Evelyn
Lloyd. Absent from the meeting was Commissioner Kenneth Chavious. Staff Present were
Town Manager Eric Peterson, Finance Director Sherry Carter, Planning Director Margaret
Hauth, Police ChiefNathanie] Eubanks, and Town Engineer Tom Hartye.
Mayor Horace H. Johnson called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.

Town Manager Eric Peterson began the Budget discussions covering the Police
Department; Fire Department; Governing Body; Administration; Planning Department; Ruffm-
Roulhac; Tourism; Special Appropriations; Engineering; Raw Water Supply; Water Plant; Water
Distribution; Wastewater Collection; and Wastewater Plant.
The next meeting of the Board will be on Thursday, May 28, 1998 at 7:00 PM in the
Police Department Training Room. There will be a Public Hearing to consider Zoning of the
three newly annexed areas. The Board will also conduct a Budget Pub]ic Hearing to receive
public comment. There will be a Budget Work Session to follow covering General Fund
. Revenues; and Water/Sewer Fund Revenues.
ADJOURN
Upon a motion by Commissioner Lloyd, seconded by Commissioner Dancy, the Board
moved to adjourn at approximately 9:00 PM by a vote of 4-0. The motion was declared passed.
