OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
March 8, 1973
he Regular Meeting of the Personnel Board was held on March 8, 1973, at 7.30P:NI
in she Council Chambers of City Fall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California.
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:30PM by Chairman Raymond Warden.
- PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Chairman Warden.
ROLL CALL

AP PROVAL OF MINUTES
it was moved by Commissioner Hughes and seconded by Commissioner Lord that
t; mmates of December 21, 1972, regarding the personnel hearing be approved
as corrected.
Motion unanimously carried.
Tt was further moved by Commissioner Lord and seconded by Commissioner Lee
Lhat the minutes of February 8, 1973, be approved as written.
Motion unanimously carried.
T FOR CERTIFICATION OF RECREATION SUPERVISOR
The Personnel Officer presented the Eligibility List for Board certification for
the position of Recreation Supervisor, and following discussion by the Board it was
_nnoved by Commissioner Hughes and seconded by Commissioner Malchow that the
list for Recreation Supervisor be certified.
Mo unanimously carried.
CADET POLICEMAN
The Personnel Officer presented a memorandurn from Chief Darton regarding the
alig'ible candidates for the position of Cadet Policeman and the reasons for their
ineligibility at the present time.
Discussion was held by the Board and following review, it was moved by Commissioner
Lord and seconded by Commissioner Hughes that the Board authorize Staff to proceed
with an examination for the position of Cadet Policeman and amend the rules and
regulations to read 19 -202 years of age at the time of appointment.

A rnotion was made by Commissioner Hughes and seconded by Commissioner Load
that the Board request the Chief of Police to make a study regarding high school
students working in the Department and in the field during the summer months.
Motion unanimously carried.

it was moved by Commissioner Lord, and seconded by Commissioner Hughes
io receive and file information Bulletin No. 73 -3.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business, it was moved by Commissioner Lord and seconded by
Commissioner Hughes that the meeting be adjourned to the next Regular Meeting
of the Personnel Board to be held on April 12, 1973, in the Council Chambers
of City Hall. Motion unanimously carried.
Meeting adjourned at 8:15PM.
