HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance #315TOWN OF FRASER ORDINANCE NO. 315 Series 2005 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 145, SERIES 1986, PROVIDING FOR COMPENSATION OF THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE TOWN OF FRASER, COLORADO WHEREAS, X31-4-301(4), Colorado Revised Statutes, as amended, provides for the Mayor and members of the Board of Trustees to receive such compensation as may be fixed by Ordinance; WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 145, adopted March 19, 1986, established the Mayor's compensation for regular and special meetings of the Board of Trustees at Eighty Dollars ($80.00) per meeting and the Trustees compensation at Sixty Dollars ($60.00) per meeting; and WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Town of Fraser is of the opinion that the burdens of Town business justify an increase in the payment of compensation to the Mayor and the Board of Trustees. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF FRASER, COLORADO, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Compensation. (1) That for each regular or special Board of Trustees meeting at which a quorum is present and official business is transacted, each Trustee present shall receive One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) and the Mayor, or Mayor Pro-Tem if the Mayor is absent, shall receive One Hundred Twenty Dollars ($120.00) as compensation for the services rendered to the Town of Fraser. Section 2. Effective Date. (1) That the compensation provided for above shall begin for all regular and special meetings held after the regular election and installation of the Mayor and Trustees in 2006. Section 3. Prior Ordinance. (1) Except as changed herein, Ordinance No. 145, Series 1986, shall remain the same. Ord. No. 315 Page 2 Section 4. Severability. (1) If any part, section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance and the Town Board hereby declares it would have passed this Ordinance, and each part, section, subsection, sentence, clause of phrase thereof, regardless of the fact that any one or more parts, sections, subsections, sentences, clauses or phrases be declared invalid.
