Finalization for the preparation of Women's History Month Celebration IV COMMISSIONER'S /PUBLIC ORALS ADJOURNMENT Motion to adjourn to a Regular Meeting for April 14, 1993 at 5:30 P.M. in the V.I.P. Room of Bateman Hall, 11331 Ernestine Avenue, Lynwood, California. LYNWOOD WOMEN'S COMMISSION MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF FEBRUARY 10, 1993 0 The regular meeting of the Women's Commission of the City of Lynwood was held February 10, 1993 at Bateman Hall V.I.P. Room. (The agenda was duly posted as prescribed by the Brown Act.) Ethel Pacheco called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Members in-attendance were: Dr. Betty Jackson, Ethel Pacheco, Verna Culp, and Della Mazziotti. Commissioner Everlena McCown was absent from the meeting. Staff present was Silvia Lara. Guests present were LaVonne Anderson and Johonna Howard Minutes of December 9, 1992 were approved as presented and the minutes of February 10, 1993 were accepted with corrections. I. Ms. Anderson suggested to have something similar to last year with the exemption that commissioners select the honorees. Ms. Anderson also mentioned that Mayor Pro -Tem Evelyn Wells has made two selections for the honorees, one of them is Supervisor Evonne Burke and the other is Marcine Shall. Women's History Month Celebration has been tentatively set for March 21, 1993 at Bateman Hall from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Dr. Jackson mentioned that some young women should be included for the honorees. - Ms. Mazziotti reported to the commissioners that she had attended a Women's Club meeting and that their was no discrimination going on. There being no further business, the Women's Commission meeting was adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
