SPECIAL ORDINANCE NO. 57-1980

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEX TO THE CITY OF RICHNDND, INDIANA CERTAIN
CONTIGUOUS TERRIT)TkY, ADJACENT AND ABUTTING THERETO, DESCRIBING
THE SAME, PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION THEREOF, AND FIXING THE
T12, E WHEN TILE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT.
WHERFAS, Mary Raper and Myra Quakenbush, each owning one hundred
percent (100%) of certain parcels of land, all being
within the hereinafter described area, have petitioned
the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana for
the voluntary annexation of said hereinafter described
area, as set out, and in accordance with I.C. 18-5-10-23;
and,
WHEREAS, the area to be annexed is contiguous and adjacent to the
present boundary of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by Richmond
City Plan Camli.ssion the R -114 day of ,
1980, at which time remonstrances were heard ran all
parties interested in or affected by this Ordinance.
WHEREAS, the vote of the City Plan Coamission was -- Z to
O in favor of / ' recommending the
passage of Ordinance No. 57-1980.
NOW THEREFORE BE. IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Wayne Cotrity, Indiana:
SECTION 1. That the following described territory, adjacent to
the corporate boundaries of the City of Richmond, be
annexed to and hereby is declared to be a part of the said
City of Richmond, Indiana.; said territory being located in
Wayne Township, Wayne County, State of Indiana, and more
particularly described as follows to -wit:
Located in the northeast quarter of Section 10, Township
13 North, Range 1 West, Wayne Township, Wayne County,
Indiana., and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the north line of said Section 10
and in the centerline of Hodgin Road, said point being
located South 89 degrees 38 minutes 05 seconds East a
distance of 852.50 feet from the northwest corner of the
northeast quarter of said Section 10; thence with the
north line of said Section 10 and the centerline of Hodgin
Road, South 89 degrees 38 minutes 05 seconds East for
973.05 feet; thence South 0 degrees 27 minutes 06 seconds
West for 875.34 feet; thence North 89 degrees 37 minutes 24
seconds West for 1116.05 feet to the southeast corner of
Henley Hills subdivision, Section 1 as recorded in Plat
Book 11, page 506 of the Wayne County Plat Records; thence
with the east line of Henley Hills subdivision, Section 1,
North 0 degrees 27 minutes 06 seconds East for 585.12 feet;
thence South 89 degrees 38 minutes 05 seconds East for
143.00 feet; thence North 0 degrees 27 minutes 06 seconds
East for 290.00 feet to the point of beginning; containing
21.472 acres total, 20.472 acres in Hunter's Pointe sub-
division and 1.000 acre to be retained by the owners.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be
after its passage by
