SUBJECT: REVIVAL AND EXTENSION OF LATERAL FIREFIGHTER LIST

At your Special Meeting of March 19, 1987 the Board voted to extend the Lateral
Firefighter list for six months Subsequent to that meeting, certain questions
have arisen as to whether the agenda for this meeting was duly posted, per the
Brown Act. The City Attorney has reviewed the facts and feels the agenda was
properly posted However, for technical reasons, he feels the Board should take
action on reviving this list and extending it again.
Staff is recommending that the Board take this action, and also refer the matter
to the City Council for their concurrence.
