CLOSED SESSION MINUTES
HILLSBOROUGH TOWN BOARD
JUNE 10, 1998
8:30 AM, Police Department Training Room
The Hillsborough Town Board met in Closed Session for the purposes of discussing a
personnel issue on June 10,1998 in the Police Department Training Room. Present for the Board
Meeting were Mayor Horace H. Johnson, Sr., Commissioners Richard Simpson, Catherine
Martin, Frances Dancy, and Evelyn Lloyd. Absent from the Board Meeting was Commissioner
Kenneth Chavious. StafIPresent were Town Manager Eric Peterson, Town Clerk Donna
Armbrister, and Town Attorney Michael Brough.
Town Manager Eric Peterson reviewed with the Board several aspects of personnel law
and Town Attorney Michael Brough advised the Board of legal liabilities involved with this
information.
Town Manager Peterson presented an Executive Summary of results of the investigation
of allegations of misconduct with the Police Department.
After discussion of the Executive Summary, and upon a motion by Commissioner Martin,
seconded by Commissioner Dancy, the Board moved to return to Open Session by a vote of 4-0.
The motion was declared passed.
