Home My Public Portal About096-1980 - Zoning - 600 South 16th St - DefeatedQ411 Ipl / ' 1 1 M • • • 21 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, BEING ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968, CCrT'10NLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY CF RICTMND, INDIANA ADOPTED JUNE 3, 1968, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 600 SOUTH 16TH STREET FROM R-2 ONE -FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO R-3 ONE -TO -EIGHT FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the Zoning Map which is part of Ordinance No. 2326-1968 desig- nates and describes as R-2 One -Family Residence District, the property located at 600 South 16th Street in the City of Rich- rmnd, Indiana; and, WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the zoning cla.ssi- ficiation of property located at 600 South 16th Street from R-2 One -Family Residence District to R-3 One -to -Eight Family Residence District; and, WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by the Richmond City Plan Carmission the 28th day of October, 1980, at which time remonstrances were heard from all parties interested in or affected by this Ordinance. WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was eight (8) to zero (0) in opposition to recommending the passage of Ordinance No. 96-1980. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Carron Council of the City of Rich- mond, Indiana as follows: SECTION 1. That the zoning classification of the property described below be, and the same is hereby changed to R-3 One -to -Eight Family Residence District, and that said property be regulated in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Richmond and all amendments thereto. Lots Numbered 113, 114 and 115 in the Browns South- land Addition to the City of Richmond SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as by law required.
