SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PERSONNEL BOARD
CITY OF LYNWOOD
December 14, 1992
The special meeting of the Personnel Board of the City of Lynwood, California was
held on Thursday, December 14, 1992, at 5:00 p.m in the Council Chambers of the
Lynwood City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California. The agenda was duly
posted as prescribed by the Brown Act.
CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Gilpen called the meeting to order at 5:10 p m. Roll call was taken by
Gail Black, Director of Human Resources Commissioners Gilpen, Bell, Litke, and
Lewis were present. Commissioner Swift was absent (excused).
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Led by Commissioner Lewis
STUDIES & REPORTS
The motion was made by Commissioner Bell and seconded by Commissioner Lewis
to approve the proposed classification statement for the position of Special Assistant.
All in favor. Motion carried.
Mr. Laurence Adams spoke to the board regarding the request for the Special
Assistant classification statement.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Ms. Black and the Commissioners discused the Commissioner's Dinner held on
December 10 and how each of them enjoyed the evening.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Bell made the motion and Commissioner Lewis seconded to adjourn to
the next regularly scheduled meeting, December 17, 1992 5:00 p.m. All in favor
Motion carried.

December 17, 1992
The regular meeting of the Personnel Board of the City of Lynwood, California was
held on Thursday, December 17, 1992, at 5:00 p m. in the Council Chambers of the
Lynwood City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California. The agenda was duly
posted as prescribed by the Brown Act.
CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Gilpen called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m. Roll call was taken by
Gail Black, Director of Human Resources. Commissioners Gilpen, Bell, Litke, Swift
and Lewis were present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Led by Commissioner Swift
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The motion was made by Commissioner Swift and seconded by Commissioner Lewis
to approve the minutes of the regular November 19, 1992 meeting.
STUDIES & REPORTS
The motion was made by Commissioner Swift and seconded by Commissioner Litke
to approvethe certification of the Recreation Facility /Program Supervisor eligibility list.
All in favor. Motion carried.
The motion was made by Commissioner Lewis and seconded by Commissioner Litke
to approve the proposed classification statement for the positions of Cable Television
Specialist and Community Development Specialist. All in favor. Motion carried.
Ms. Black explained the request for inclusion of proposed classification statement
being submitted to the City Council with the Board's approval and recommendation.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Ms. Black and the Commissioners wished each other a Merry Christmas and a Happy
New Year.

Commissioner Swift made the motion and Commissioner Bell seconded to adjourn to
the next regularly scheduled meeting, January 21, 1993 5 p m. All in favor
Motion carried.
