MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF
JULY 12, 1993
The regular meeting of the Community Access Advisory Board of the
City of Lynwood was held July 12, 1993 in the City Hall
Conference Room. (The Agenda was duly posted as prescribed by
the Brown Act.)
Chairperson Ann A. Fields called the meeting to order at 5:30
p.m. Members in attendance were Bill Cunningham, Ann Fields, Ada
McZeal, and Ethel Pacheco. Commissioner Olympia Dudenhoeffer was
excused from the meeting.
Staff present were Johonna Jacobs - Howard, Ron Roberson, and
Silvia Lara.
Also present was Councilman Armando Rea.
A motion was made by commissioner Cunningham that the minutes of
the June 14, 1993, meeting be approved as received. Motion was
seconded by commissioner Pacheco.
I. SCHEDULED MATTERS
A. PREVIEW OF LYNWOOD SHOWCASE # 48
Lynwood showcase # 48 which included the following items,
was viewed by commissioners:
1. Lynwood's All City Track Meet.
2. Annual Baseball Opening
3. A Moment In Lynwood History By Commissioner
Cunningham.
4. Dates And Times Of Commission Meetings.
5. Senior Lunch Program Grant by Old Timer's
Foundation for Seniors 65 and up. Meals are
delivered to handicap seniors. (A $1.50 charge
is requested but not required.)
6. Top Ten Academic Students At Lynwood High
School.
7. Senior Olympics Ballroom Dancing Contest
8. Natatorium Mural Contest. Winner is Robert
Henderson.
Commissioners unanimously commended Mr. Roberson for the
additions for improvement of the showcase.

II. PUBLIC ORALS
- Ms. Jacobs - Howard mentioned that the refrigerator was
bought and that it is now in the Cable Studio.
- Ms. Jacobs - Howard also mentioned that a letter regarding
the missing cable items has been prepared for City
Manager's review and signature, which will then be
mailed to Detective Durazo.
- Ms. Pacheco suggested to get a Memorial Certificate for
former commissioner Dudenhoeffer. Commissioners
unanimously agreed, Ms. Jacobs will make arrangements.
- Ms. Jacobs - Howard reported that Mr. Roberson and herself
will be going to the Lynwood High School on Wednesday
July 14, 1993 in regards to the Internship Program.
- Ms. McZeal reported that the turnout at the G.E.D.'s
graduation, which was sponsored by the Concerned
Citizens of Lynwood (CCL) and Parents Interested in
Education (PIE), was great.
- Ms. Lara brought a thank you card for Councilman Armando
Rea to thank him for his support but especially for
donating a microwave oven for the cable studio.
Commissioners signed the card and Ms. Lara will place
it in Councilman's Rea mail box.
- Commissioners unaniously requested a list of items for
future showcases. Mr. Roberson will prepare the list of
items, which will be presented at the August 9, 1993
meeting.
THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS, THE COMMUNITY ACCESS ADVISORY
BOARD MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 6:30 P.M.
