COMMUNITY ACCESS ADVISORY BOARD
MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF
FEBRUARY 8, 1993
The regular meeting of the Community Access Advisory Board of the
City of Lynwood was held February 8, 1993 in the City Hall
Conference Room. (The Agenda was duly posted as prescribed by
the Brown Act.)
Chairperson Ann A. Fields called the meeting to order at 5:30
p.m. Members in attendance were Bill Cunningham, Ann A. Fields,
Ethel Pacheco, and Ada McZeal. Commissioner Olympia Dudenhoeffer
was excused from the meeting.
Staff present were Johonna Jacobs - Howard, Don Morris, and Silvia
Lara.
The minutes of the January 11, 1993, meeting were approved as
distributed.

A. PREVIEW Of SHOWCASE # 44
Commissioners previewed showcase # 44 which included the
following items:
a) Mike Patel owner of the Travelodge
b) Jalisco Soccer Team
c) Kenneth Hahn's Luncheon, and
d) Student Interns (Glenn, Luis, and William)
II. COMMISSIONER'S /PUBLIC ORALS
* Ms. Howard mentioned to the commissioners that they
had placed an article on the Lynwood Journal
regarding the Cable Internship Program and that two
of the participants were unable to continue the
program.
* Ms. Howard informed the commissioners of the Youth
Summit which will be held March 27, 1993 at the
School District Facility. The Youth Summit will
be aired on the Lynwood Cable.

* Ms. Fields suggested to include some of the Lynwood
School District Staff along with other community
people for the moment in history if possible.
* Mr. Morris mentioned that the cable interns had
assisted in the preparation of Showcase # 44 and
that the cable equipment had arrived. Mr. Morris
also mentioned that at this present time
approximately 36 pieces including the old cable
equipment were accounted for. Commissioners
requested a list of equipment inventory.
* Ms. Howard also informed the commissioners of the
Cable Internship Reception which has been
tentatively set to be held for March 24, 1993 at
the Cable Studio on Martin Luther King Boulevard.
* Ms. Pacheco commented to the commissioners that the
City of Lynwood needs a program similar to "Meals on
Wheels" for seniors.
* Preview for Showcase number 45 has been tentatively
set for February 23, 1993 at 1 p.m., in the
main Conference Room at City Hall.
There being no further business, the Community Access Advisory
Board meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
