HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 85-1160 PC41 RESOLUTION NO.. 85 -1160 PC A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CI'T'Y DECLARING ITS INTENT TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC FEARING TO DETERMINE THE EXISTENCE OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE: WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Temple City finds that certain premises within the City may be maintained contrary to the provisions of the Municipal Code of the City; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that a public hearing be held to ascertain whether or not .a public nuisance exists, NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning Commission hereby to hold a public hearing on January 22, 1985, to premises situated in the City of Temple City, State and designated as 10786 Live Oak Avenue particularly described as W. H. Freer Tract, M.B. lot 2 of maps in the Office of the County Recorder, State of California constitute a public nuisance subject to abatement by the City: That the following conditions maintained on said property may 'exist 4IPontrary to the provisions of Section 4230 of the Municipal Code of the City: (a) Buildings or structures ... which in relation to existing use constitute a hazard to safety or health or public welfare by reason of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation or abandonment; (d) Premises maintained so as to constitute a fire hazard by reason of woods, rank overgrowth or accumulation of debris; (h) Overgrown vegetation likely to harbor rats, vermin and other nuisances or causing detriment to neighboring properties or property values. • (v)ii ... the building or structure has become so deteriorated as to become an attractive nuisance to children or to provide harbor for vagrants, criminals or immoral persons declares its intent ascertain whether certai of California, known in said City, and more 3, pp. 23, east part of County of Los Angeles, That abatement by the following method(s) has been suggested: (1) Barricade or demolish existing structure. (2) Cut back existing vegetation from structure. (3) Remove trash and debris from hedge areas along north and east property lines (4) Remove vegetation and debris constituting fire hazard. 1 That the City Clerk shall cause the owner of said premises.to be served with appropriate notice in the manner prescribed by the Municipal, Code: That the Secretary of the Planning Commission shall cause said premises to be posted in the manner prescribed by the Municipal Code;' The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.• ADOPTED and APPROVED this 22 day of January 1985.
