ORDINANCE NO.63-2016
A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF RICHMOND TO RECEIVE
DONATIONS FROM AMERICAN WATER
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond, Indiana, has the option of accepting or rejecting donations for
a specific purpose; and
WHEREAS, The acceptance of a donation for a specific purpose constitutes the appropriation of
such property for the intended purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that the following donations shall be accepted and gratefully acknowledged by the citizens
of Richmond:
(a) From American Water, a donation of Two Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents
($2,000.00) to the City of Richmond to be used for any lawful purpose by the Mayor's
Office.
(b) From American Water, a donation of Three Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents
($3,000.00) to the City of Richmond to be used for any lawful purpose by the Department of
Infrastructure and Development. /
Passed and adopted this a/ day of /L016, by the Common
Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
