One is to head the water maintenance division and the other is to be responsible for high priority C.I.P. projects in the Engineering Division. Last week I interviewed candidates from the current eligi- ble list and came to the following conclusions: 1. None of the candidates has enough water background and experiences that I can put him or her in charge of our important water and sewer systems. 2. None of them has enough U.S. public works background and experiences that I can put him or her in charge of implementing our C.I.P. program in the Engineering Division. I am, therefore respectfully requesting that the list be abolished and a new list be established for the department. cc: Charles Gomez, City Manager Gerald Forde, Assistant to the City Manager JYW:mm V43 -180 INTER - OFFICE MEMO v F' . %Ta DATE: March 12, 1990 TO: Michael Heriot, Human Resources Director FROM: JOSEPH Y.
