Distric rk RESOLUTION NO. 07-13 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL OPEN SPACE DISTRICT APPROVING 2007-2008 SALARY ADJUSTMENT AND MERITORIOUS PAY AWARD FOR THE DISTRICT GENERAL MANAGER AND APPROVING GENERAL MANAGER EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District entered into a District General Manager Employment Agreement ("Agreement"), dated August 25, 2004, with L. Craig Britton, employing him as the District's General Manager; and WHEREAS, the Agreement provides for an annual review of the General Manager's performance and an annual compensation review, which the Board has completed; and WHEREAS, the Board desires to adjust the General Manager's compensation to include a 2.5 point cost-of-living salary adjustment and a 3.5 point parity adjustment increasing his salary to $173,149.60 per calendar year retroactive to April 1, 2007 and the reporting of Employer Paid Member Contributions as special compensation for PERS retirement; and WHEREAS, the Board, based on its annual review of Britton's performance, desires to grant him meritorious pay of 5%or$8,154.54 over and above Britton's salary in recognition of his outstanding performance during the previous year of service. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District does hereby authorize the President of the Board of Directors or other appropriate officer to execute the attached District General Manager Employment Agreement on behalf of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District to increase the General Manager's salary to $173,149.60 per calendar year based upon a 2.5 point cost of living adjustment and a 3.5 point parity adjustment retroactive to April 1, 2007 and to provide six month's severance pay. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District does grant the General Manager by adoption of this resolution a 5% meritorious pay award in the amount of$8,154.54 over and above the General Manager's salary for meritorious service in Fiscal Year 2006-2007.
