A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF
RICHMOND TO RECEIVE A DONATION
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond will celebrate its 200th birthday in the year 2006 and plans are being made for 200 events in honor of this occasion
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond, Indiana, has the option of accepting or rejecting donations for a specific purpose;
WHEREAS, the acceptance of a donation for a specific purpose constitutes the appropriation of such property for the intended purpose; and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the following shall be accepted and gratefully acknowledged by the citizens of Richmond:
The donation of funds and/or other resources for the City of Richmond Bicentennial Celebration (Richmond Celebrates)
Passed and adopted this 2nd day of May___ __ 2005, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
