A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE LOCAL STREETS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT,
AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE
PROJECT DESIGN AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO
MAKE THE NECESSARY FUNDS APPROPRIATION AND TRANSFER
WHEREAS, On March 6, 2012, the City Council adopted a resolution approving
the lists of residential streets to be improved using funds that are to be generated by the
issuance of 2012 Measure R Bonds through the California Statewide Communities
Development Authority; and
WHEREAS, the total project cost has been estimated at $6.5 million; and
WHEREAS, the Bond funds will not be available for the project until late August
2012; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to immediately initiate the pre- engineering
and project design phase of the project, which has been estimated to cost $300,000;
and
WHEREAS, staff has identified available General funds that can be appropriated
to the project and said funds can be reimbursed with the Bond funds once they are
available.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That this project is in conformance with the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and is categorically exempt.
Section 2. That the City Council approves the implementation of the
Residential Streets Improvement Project to be funded with funds to be generated by the
issuance of 2012 Measure R Bonds through the California Statewide Communities
Development Authority.
Section 3. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves the release
of a request for proposals for the design of said project.
Section 4. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the City
Manager or designee to make the following funds appropriation and transfer:

Section 5. That the Measure R Bond Fund shall reimburse the General Fund
with $300,000 once the bond funds are available.
Section 6. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 7. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
