AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM.OF ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($19000.00) FROM THE
GENERAL FUND CASH OPERATING, TO POLICE DEPARTMENT BUDGET ACCOUNT NO. L-30 (7-72-726)
PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, a request has.b in made by the Chief of Police to transfer the sum of one
thousand dollars ($19000 00) from the General Fund Cash Operating to Palle* Department
budget account No. L-30 (7=72-726), Property and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond after careful
study and consideration on the llth day of January, 1968 approved that an ordinance
be prepared for Common Councils consideration to make the above transfer of funds, and
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the
e3;isting annual budget. o that it is.now necessary to appropriate more money for the
vatious functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the
year ending December 319 19689 the following money is hereby appropriated and set apart
out of the fund eased for ... purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws
governing the same. SucKount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures
authorized to be safe ik ing the year, unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the fiscal periel?j there is hereby appropriated from the General
Fund Case Operating to meet the extraordinary emergency declared to exist.

SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it_his..been shown that certain existing appropriations now have
unobligated balances which will not bi used for the purpose appropriated.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDAI14ED,by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that
such unnecessary existing;oppropriations be now reduced in amount as follows: and the
same is appropriated to the above named item.
General Fund Cash Operating $19000.00
SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation.
SECTION S. This ordinance shall beinfull force and effect from and after its
passage and approval by„tft..Mayor and is subject to the lases of the State of Indiana
governing emergency appropriations.
