AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF FOUR HUNDRED AND SIXTEEN DOLLARS ($416.00) FROM
THE GENERAL FUND CASH OPERATING, TO GENERAL C-11 (7-72-725) OFFICE EQUIPMENT PROPERTIES
(TYPEWRITER).
WHEREAS, a request has been made by the City Clerk to transfer the sum of four hundred
and sixteen dollars ($416.00) from the General Fund Cash Operating to General C-11
(7-72-725) Office Equipment Properties, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond after careful
study and consideration on the 7th day of March, 1968 approved that an ordinance be
prepared for Common Council*s consideration to make the above transfer of funds, an
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the
existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for t�-
various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budgej,_
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indian. -
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for ,tne
year ending December 31, 1968, the following money is hereby appropriated and set apa:r-
out of the fund named for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all lav-s-,
governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expendil"ure;
authorized to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the fiscal period there is hereby appropriated from the Gener<.`
Fund Cash Operating to meet the extraordinary emergency declared to exist.

SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have=
unobligated balances which will not be used for the purpose appropriated.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana thz

same is appropriated to the above named item.

SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval by the Kayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiarl.r
governing emergency appropriations.
