ORDINANCE NO. 2321-1968
AN ORDINANCE TO A141END CHAPTER 41 ARTICL1.E iIII, SECTION 41.3G, ONE ,1AY STREETS AND ALLEYS,
SCHEDULE I.
WHEREAS, the Traffic Division of the Richmond Police Department has made a thorough study
and survey of traffic along and upon !Borth "D" Street, from North 7th Street to North loth
Street. The study and survey shows that the intersection of North Ninth and "D" Streets is
the Number I dangerous intersection of City. The Traffic Division records for the past
four (4) years show there have been 58 accidents which include 37 persons injured and 1
fatality, and
WHEREAS, in the best interest of safety it is recommemied by the Traffic Division of the
Richmond Police Department that North '°D" Street from North 7th Street to Worth 10th Street
be made a One -Way Street in a westerly direction, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public 41lorks and Safety in regular session: March 28, 1968 after con-
siderable study did approve the recommendation of the Traffic Division of the Richmond
Police Department to sake Norti, "U, Street from north 7th St-reet to North 10th Street a
One -Way Street in a westerly direction, and
N04V THERE RE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, S�tif?ianua
SECTION I. That Chapter 41, Article V11, Section 41.3c,, Streets and AI'eys,
Schedule 1, of the 14unicipal Code of Richmond, Indiana, be and the same is hereby amended
to include the following One-Giay Street, to -wit:
North "D" Street from North loth Street, westbound to North 7th Street.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the passage
and approval by the Mayor and publication as required.
