WHEREAS, a .eldest has been made by the Board of Works to transfer the sum of eighteen
1nundred dollars ($1800.00) from the General Fund Cash Operating to Board of Works
budget sc(.•,)unt No. J-9 (2-24-242) Publication of Legal Notices "Services Contractual" and
WRPASAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond after careful
study and consideration on the llth day of July, 1968 approved that an ordinance be
prepired for Common Council's consideration to make the above transfer of funds, and
ViHEF:liAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the \
exiting annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more mors:y for the
vey,.ous functions of the City Goverment than was appropriated in the annual budget.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
SiMON 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the
year ending December 319 1968, the following money is hereby appropriated and set apart
out of the fund named for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws
governing the some. Such amount appropriated $hall be held to include all expenditures
authorized to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by laws.
SECTION 2. That for the fiscal. period there is hereby appropriated from tht General
Fund Cash Crperat3ng to meet the extraordinary emergency declared to exist.

SECTION 3. WHEREA39 it has shown that certain existing appropriations now have
unebligated balances which will not be used for the purpose appropriated.
IT IS THEREK)RE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that
such unnecessary existing opropriations be now reduced in amount as follows$ and the
same is appropriated to the above named item.

$1800.00
SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation.
a9G+1ON 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing
avasrgency appropriations.
