HomeMy Public PortalAbout2352-1968 - Appropriation - To Telephone, Insurance and Animalsv OMINANCE 140o 2352-1968 All ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM, OF TWO THOUSAND FIFTY EIGHT DOLLARS ($29058.00) FRUM PARK 8 RECREATION DEPARTA&NT CASH OPERATING TO P-15 TELEPHONE 8 TELEGRAPH (2-21-214); P-50 INSURANCE (5-51) AND P-63 ANIVALS (7-74). WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the -existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for various functions of the City Government then was appropriated to the annual budget. SE'(:iICN 1. BE IT CRDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1968, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said stun being subject to all laws governing the some. Such amounts appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures to be made during the year unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for -the fiscal period, there is hereby appropriated the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency that exists. AACUNT _,-, UESTED P-15 Telephone 8 Telegraph (2-21-214) $ 500•00 Due to an increase in rate and the necessity of additional long distance calls, the amount we have ,is a balance will be insufficient for the remainder of 1968. P-50 Insurance (5-°51) $ 800•00 The amount estimated in the 1968 budget is short this amount to cover all insurance premiums that are required for the department. p-63 Animals (7-74) $ 758.00 We have had difficulty finding a replacement for the cow buffalo and the llama, but having fournij tt*m we have now depleted the category for tt am. Total $2,�8.�00 SECTIGN 3.. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have unobligeted balance which will. not be used for purpose which appropriated. IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that such unnecessary existing appropriation be now reduced in amount as fellows: and the same is appropriated to the above named item. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject 4.o the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations.
