A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
A CONTRACT AMENDMENT FOR THE RENTAL OF TEMPORARY ELECTRICAL
EQUIPMENT FOR THE MODULAR ANNEX OFFICE BUILDING WITH NATIONAL
CONSTRUCTION RENTALS, PROVIDING AN EXTENSION FOR UP TO TWO
YEARS AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT
AMENDMENT
WHEREAS, on January 26, 2011, the City Manager executed an Agreement
awarding a contract to National Construction Rentals to provide temporary rental
electrical equipment for the modular building office; and
WHEREAS, said contract agreement was to end on February 2, 2012; and
WHEREAS, rental of the modular buildings to house the City Hall Annex is still
needed; and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting City Council's approval of a two year contract
amendment with National Construction Rentals to extend the contract to January 26,
2014.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby approves Contract Amendment to the
temporary rental electrical equipment to National Construction Rentals to extend the
contract through January 26, 2014, said amendment shall be in a form approved by the
City Attorney.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute said contract amendment
with National Construction Rentals.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4 . The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 15 day of May 2012.
