A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS TO VENDORS LISTED IN
THIS RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, to continue to incur additional expenditures for office /operating
supplies as well as printing and advertising services for certain vendors; and
WHEREAS, certain vendors have exceeded $15,000 in purchases for FY12;
and
WHEREAS, these vendors supply office /operating supplies and provide printing/
advertising services critical to the City's operations. In order to continue uninterrupted
services through the end of this fiscal year, City Council approval is needed to incur
additional expenditures for the vendors listed in this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, Finance staff requests sole authority to make purchases on behalf
of all City Departments. If approved, purchases will require written requests (orders) for
office /operating supplies and printing /advertising services from City Departments.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes Finance staff to process payments
for TAJ Office Supplies, Office Depot, Daily Journal and J & G Graphics through the end
of the fiscal year (FY12) to not exceed the amounts referenced in the Staff Report.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
