SPECIAL MEETING - APRIL 4, 2008
A Special Meeting of the Bal Harbour Village Council was held on Friday, April 4, 2008, at the
Bal Harbour Village Hall Council Chambers (655 — 96 Street, Bal Harbour, Florida).
1 . CALL TO ORDER /ROLL CALL.: The meeting was called to order at 8:36
a.m. by Assistant Mayor Rosenfield. The following were present:

Councilman Martin Packer
Councilman Jaime M. Sanz
Alfred J. Treppeda, Village Manager
Ellisa Horvath, CMC, Village Clerk
Michael S. Popok, Village Attorney
Absent: Mayor Howard J. Berlin
Councilman Joel S. Jacobi
As a quorum was determined to be present, the meeting commenced.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge was led by Village resident
Lynne Bloch- Mullen.
3. VILLAGE ATTORNEY REQUEST FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION IN
BABAK RAHEB V. BAL HARBOUR VILLAGE LITIGATION: Mr. Popok
requested an Executive Session, in accordance with Florida Statute 286.011, to obtain
advice concerning settlement negotiations /strategies related to a case styled Babak Raheb
versus Village of Bal Harbour, which is pending in the Miami -Dade County Circuit Court
Case Number 03 -21932 CA 23.
A motion was offered by Councilman Packer and seconded by Councilman Sanz for the Village
Attorney to schedule an Attorney Client Session through the Village Clerk's office. The motion
carried unanimously (3 -0).
5. ADJOURN: There being no further business, a motion was offered by
Councilman Packer and seconded b Councilman San to ad'ourn. The motion carried
unanimously (3 -0), and the meeting adjourned at 8:38 a.m.
